Hello, I have a 1997 Zenith TV, model sy2765s and everything is green, green, green! I've never worked on a TV before but I can't afford to replace it so I'm asking for assistance. I'm a computer tech at work so thought I might have a chance....
The TV video and sound are fine, just a green tint on everything. Is there some kind of card or module I can order and install to fix this problem? Thanks,

Belinda Any help you can offer will be greatly appreicated!

I have the same problem! Hopefully we can figure out what the problem is and get it fixed! I guess this could be an issue with Zenith TV's built in the mid 1990's

Please post the fix if you find one and I'll do the same.

maybe it's a shorted green gun in the picture tube it'self remove back from tv and LIGHTLY tap on neck of the picture tube while watdhing the screen see if it goes away or flashes. picture tube replacement cost more than set is worth.

Thanks everyone. The tube trick sounds wort a try. I haven't given up yet. I tried going in the service menu and adjusting the colors but didn't do much good. I'll try the picture tube trick tomorrow and let you know if I have any luck. Hmmmm..... I guess I'll recognize the picture tube when I see it???

Thanks again!

This is a common problem with the Zenith televisions. We've serviced a number of these with color problems. It's pointless to repair these because sometimes it solves the problem and many times it doesn't or it's temporary and you'll be charged either way. The culprite is the infamous picture tube.
