I live in COlorado and out here they use rounded "bull nose" corner molding for drywall. I am adding a roon in the basement and want it to match the rest of the house. I cannot get the molding to "seat on the corners. It rocks as I am attaching it and tears the paper where the nails are set. Back East the square corner moldings were no problem. Any hints on how to properly secure these things?

Installing bullnose bead is quite easy after you get done with the first piece. I beveled the corner first using a wallboard tool or a Rotozip. The wallboard tool does a great job but it is a lot of manual work. The rotozip is faster but does not have the finess of the wallboard tool.
After you are done beveling to corners wipe all the edges down with a moistened (not wet) rag. Let this dry.
Use glue, silverset, or standard joint compound to attach the bullnose.
If you glue, fold the paper edge back and spray liberally. Also spray the area on the wall where the bead is going to be install. Wait a few minutes. Then line up the bead and firmly press the paper into place. This method is totally cool since you can apply joint compound about an hour after installing. Use this if at all possible.
For silverset, I am using the 90 minute powder. Liberally coat the bead and affix it into place. Use a mud knife to remove all of the extra bead. Work fast because you only have 90 minutes from the time the powder gets wet until it sets hard. You may also want to use masking tape to hold it into place during cure.
For joint compound, do not use this in a cold enviroment. Rent a heater if necessary. Same idea as the silverset it just takes much longer to set up because it is an air drying compound.
Also use corner plastics whereever possible. It will give you the best possible joint. About a $1 for each corner joint plastic piece.
Not sure why you are using nails. Using screws will hold things together better and you will not get nail pop.

I find it best if you leave the corners about a quarter inch short of the corner and then apply METAL bullnose and attach it with a pin nailer. Be sure to apply pressure the the bullnose as you nail it. Or you could apply the bullnose with the drywall screws it you wanted to. I don't know if your installing paper bullnose or metal, but I find it works better using the metal?? Hope it works.
