Hi,
I recently picked up a 1968 Eaton's Tecomaster snowblower with a 6hp Briggs&Stratton engine. The previous owner had not used it for 3 years. (An older gentlemen) He said he had the regular maintenance done on it. After changing the plug and adding some gas it started on the second pull. Works nicely. I finally got a chance yesterday to use it. I noticed that tiny sparks came out of the muffler once in awhile. Any ideas why? Thanks. gmc

hi

could it be carbon deposits built up on the inside of the muffler? It shoudn't cause concern but if you wan't to stop it, change mufflers.

Hope this helps.

I agree....most likely pieces of carbon and rust heating up and breaking loose from inside the muffler. It will probably stop doing this after it has been run for some time.
