Hi,
I was watching the Chargers and 49er's play today and my Hitachi 35TX30B 35" tube TV decided it had enough. :(
Basically, the symptoms are that I lost video and audio. The main relay clicks when you attempt to turn on the set, but it seems that the high voltage and low voltage supplies never comes up. I opened the back and checked the fuses, only found one where the power cord is connected to the PCB and it is good.
Have had the TV for 7 years... seems kinda early for it to go, but I also don't want to spend an arm and a leg to have it repaired. I'm, elecrically inclined and have all kinds of test equip... ,
What do you all think?
1. buy a service manual and spend some time troubleshooting
2. call the TV repair guy
3. say goodnight and go get a new widescreen?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Doesn't sound too major for that size set, still worth repairing - check or replace Q901, IC901, and R908.

Thanks, XperT PC, checked them and they look ok. Found another regulator that was bad, it is the one before the HV P.S.

FreddyG,
It is hard to read the date of Manufacture, but I think it says Sept. 1994
The model is 35TX30B
