I have a Janitrol 92 that keeps shutting off after it cycles. The LED mostly blinks 3 times but sometimes it will only blink once. I usually turn off the unit and drain the box of water on the side and when I turn it back on everything is fine. Sometimes I have to drain water out of the round part with the two wires and hose, sorry don't know the name of the part, and again it works. After a cycle or two it stops again and I have to repeat the process. Any suggestions?

P.S. this happened to me last year and I had to drain it once or twice and never had another problem, the unit is only 2 years old.

your furnace is a condensing furnace, as you well know. when the drain clogs, or vent fills with water due to improper pitch, the unit will lockout. the flue is actually a drain, as the gasses passing through it are so cool as to condense moisture inside the pipe, then draining back to the furnace, into the draft inducer assembly. the round part you describe is the pressure switch. the circuit board looks at this switch to be sure the "points" are open before engaging the inducer fan motor, which then through negative pressure through the tube, pulls in the points, thereby telling the circuit board that fan is now running. moisture in this tube is what is causing your problem. a clear drain, allowing proper flow of condensation as well as proper orientation of the tubing is important. check install instructions for this info. i will post again on this tonight after some research.

janitrol/goodman leave excess tubing so as to enable relocation of the pressure switch. is this a downflow application? if so, the switch is supposed to be relocated to the top of the inducer housing. very famous problem with your unit as it turns out.

Thanks for your help!
Moving the pressure switch solved the problem.
