I have a JVC MX-J50 stereo receiver that got a static shock on its power button when I was going to turn it on. Now, nothing happens when any buttons are hit.

Is there anything that I could/should check on this? I have already taken a look at the 3 main fuses I could see on the left side and they all appear to be good. I have also verified that the outlet is still good.

Unfortunately, that will be the death of the unit. The main CPU of the unit probably took the hit and shorted it out. It can be repaired but will it be worth the repair…
