Had this TV working fine since 1997 except replacing the STK392-110 once by the Repair Tech about 2 years ago to fix the convergence problem. Couple weeks ago, TV suddenly turned off by itself with loud noise and dead. Found blown up fuse and replaced it twice. Still won't fly as the fuse keeps on blowing up when the power is turned on.
Finally replace the power supply board and the power problem goes away. New problem kicks in now even with the 9 points convergence adjustment done and lined up at the beginning.
1. TV stays on for 5 minutes or so, screen starts flicking
2. Except the center, convergence at both left and right side and each corner of screen starts shifting apart with R, G and B lines
3. Sometimes, TV will shut off and turn back on by itself automatically with clicking sound - exactly like we turn it off and on again manually. The picture quality will adjust by itself back to normal with no convergence problem visible. The sound won't come back in again a few seconds after the normal picture.
4. Sometimes, the convergence problem stays on and the TV won't adjust by itself at all.
5. Have already inspected the convergence board and resolder almost every solder point but still have the same problem
Plan to replace the two STK392-110 again. But, I am not sure it will fix the problem. Any advice and help is appreciated.

Do some voltages checks on those Stk's first. Check your connections from the power supply to the convergence board.

Have checked and verified +135V on power supply board and it's okay. TV has two screen setting - normal and full size. When TV turned on with normal size setting, picture comes in and out with image enlarged on both sides and corners. Convergence is out of line except the center image. After 5 to 10 minutes, picture would adjust and stable down slightly by itself even without doing anything. No click sound heard from relay. Convergence may still be the problem but at much less degree. Unable to adjust the RED convergence at all at full screen size.
Wondering if any leakage among cap or IC ? Please advise.
