I own a 1-story condo in a 20-year-old complex with centralized baseboard heating - all units in a building share a common boiler. When I moved in 3 years ago, I had the zone valve replaced and all was fine until last week.
That's when I realized that the heat was not turning off when the thermostat was turned down. I replaced the thermostat, and that did not solve the problem.
Today I REMOVED the thermostat, and have left the 2 wires exposed (safely and not touching one another) - and the radiators are still pumping out heat!
Is there anything else I can check before asking the HOA to call out their technicians for the central system - and tell them with confidence that the problem is on their end, and not mine?
Thanks in advance,
Sweatily yours,
Schmidlap
