I may be making a small orchid growing case with wood frame and plexiglass sides. Obviously, the humidity will be high inside. I don't need a whole lot of wood so cost is not a major concern. Exterior finish is not critical but should have a good appearance.
I know that Spanish Cedar stands up to moisture well but finishing methods are very limited. Any other choices that will meet my requirements?
Thanks

Spanish Cedar paints well.
Teak and white oak are excellent high moisture woods. Teak can be challenging to finish because of its natural oil. White oak is straightforward as is Spanish Cedar.
Of course, there is pressure treated SYP
