In our split-level home we have a sunken entryway at the front door and two steps up to the living room. Originally, there was a railing. Some models of house still have it. Ours was on the blue prints (House is 25 years old... I sent to original builder-Duffy Homes and got the original blue prints). Would like to put in railing. Would like opinions on what kind would look best. Entryway floor is Gunstock oak. Wood work is painted white (yuk!!!), can't get better half to part with. Entryway light fixture is patina with black piano in that part of living room with rest of furnishings formal. Thought of a combination of Wrought Iron railing with patina finish and gunstock oak railing. Any ideas
