I have an EZ GO golf cart with a 2 cyl Robbins engine.
While it is trying to start and when it is deaccelerating, gasoline
is sputtered out the front of the carb, through the choke. It is not much but it wets & discolors the air filter slightly. Is this normal
or is there a valve or timing (or something else) problem?
TIA

I forgot to say that it is fairly hard to start and it does not have the power it used to have--it doesn't go up a hill like it did.

Hello Hawkeye!
Sounds to me like your intake valves may not be fully closing. Check the valve lash and let us know what you find!

:) Thanks Cheese. That corrected the problem!
I got out the manual, even though I am not a mechanic, and it said set the clearance to .003. Two valves were tight(probably the intake) and 2 were loose. It works good now. Thanks again!!
