Can anyone recommend how to disassemble a couch without ruining it? I would prefer to do this myself, as bills have been piling up lately. It cost a fortune to have somebody deliver, take apart, put back together again. Thanks.

Without knowing how your couch is constructed, it would be impossible to advise you how to disassemble it. Typically, upholstered couches can not be taken apart. If your couch has a wood frame, with some detective work and a screw driver you should be able to figure out how to take it apart.

I have stood an upholstered couch on its end and wrapped it around doorways and removed it from tight quarters.

Thanks to my brother for posting this question.

The problem is its actually a convertible bed. When I purchased the bed and had it delivered I needed to have someone take it apart in order to get it into my living room. I believe they removed the back of the couch --and one arm, in order to get it in.

Since you dont think its a difficult task, I will try to do it on my own. I just cant see paying somebody $200.00 to disassemble it again!!!

Thanks for your advice, much appreciated....
