I am purchasing new kitchen cabinets and will need to drill holes for the doors and drawers.

I'm wondering if there is some type of jig you can buy so I can do this perfect? Or do I just need to make one.

Thanks,

What kind of holes? Are you looking for hinge installation templates, or do you mean pilot-holes to screw your project together?

Guess I didn't make that clear. I will need to drill holes through the doors and drawers to attach the door and drawer handles.

Go to www.rockler.com. They have handle jigs for sale.

Hi,
Make a jig, it's easy. Check out where the proper location for the hardware is going to be. Get a piece of tempered hard board and at one corner on both sides tack on some 3/4" square stock.
This will allow you to use the jig on either left or right hand locations. Make sure you have a good 90 corner to work with.
Make your measurements from the inside edge of the 3/4" stock
and mark the locations. You can either drill the hole size of the hardware screws, or a small hole that you can use a brad to make the spot and then drill. The jig just hangs from the top of the door or drawer. For drawers, get the center line and then drill a hole / holes for handles as needed for 12' 18' or what ever sized drawers you have. Upper cabinets, just use the jig on the bottom corners and hold in place to mark.
Good luck,
Trent
