warranty is one year, unless furnace has 5 yrs all parts warranty. new ignitors (replacements) have 1 yr mfr warranty, but probably only 30 to 60 days labor. if it is bad get one online, save several bucks$$$$

thx for the reply. the ignitor will run me around $50.00 at the supply house. i do see that they go for around $33.00 plus shipping. ill probably swing by and pick one up monday.

are thermal zone furnaces rated pretty good or should i be looking into a diferent unit?....jack

with your brand, how old is it? see if you canfind who manufactured it, it may be an off brand (eg cumberlin is trane, weather king is rheem, etc.) then again it may be popular in your area.

the furnace is 3 years old. thermal zone must be thermal zone from what i can find on the furnace. there out of georgia(on the label)

best i could find on the internet was there was a 5 year parts warranty. just not sure if the surface ignitor is a part of that.thx....jack
