I ran new duct work from my basement to my upstairs in to two rooms the heat is coming out but not like the other ones. It is very hard to feel much air. Is there something I might be doing wrong. Or is there anywhere on the web about adding new duct work upstairs. Thank You.

Hello MRSREEDII and Welcome to the Heating and Cooling forum and our Do-It-Yourself Web Site.

The distance between the furnace and the upstairs most likely is too great for the power of the blower. You never stated if upstairs is a second story or a third story but the same problem exists.

Distance is most likely to far from heater. Proper installation of the ducting is also essential. May need to consultant a heating agent for additional advice since it's impossible to determine the exact cause from simply reading a text only format like this.

Several other resident heating and or cooling professionals replying within this forum, could have additional helpful information, suggestions, advice.

Check back on your question several times for additional replies.

if duct tap can be relocated to a more advantageous location (endcap, close to plenum) do so. if not, try oversizing duct to allow more volume. distance is important as tom mentioned. think of blowing through a straw. when it is longer, harder to blow. increasing size makes it easier.
