Can anyone PLEASE give me advice on how to remove the yucky black crap stuck to my hardwood floor? I want to refinish it. I've tried Mineral spirits - no success. Jatsky's takes off a thick gunky top layer and leaves a thin layer that I still have to spend HOURS scraping off. HELP! :confused:

There are adhesive strippers available. Take care when scraping to avoid damaging floor. Always scrape in direction of wood grain. A plastic scraper is preferred.
