I have paneling in my kitchen. The walls have had 3 layers of wallpaper on them. I have removed all wallpaper but the glue from the last layer of wallpaper is still on the walls. What do I do to remove the glue? I have used wallpaper stripper and it gets down to the paneling but it takes forever. Before I paint the walls, should I prime, sand, or something else? Also, could I just put ventetian plaster technique over the last layer of glue or would it flake off?

It sounds as if you could use a heating tool to heat the glue where it will be easier to remove.. maybe a hairdryer would do the trick.. I would try that first and see what happens...

I painted the paneling in my den... I did sand first to get the grit from the wall and wiped clean.. then used a primer so the base coat of paint would adhere to the walls..

I would try an area using this method and see what results you get.. if everything looks good then I'd finish the remaining walls..
