I want to rekey the cylinder of a Kwikset UltiMax door lock. I have the lock apart from the door, but it is not apparent as to how to remove the cylinder from the knob. Please advise.

I am not familiar with a Kwikset "ultimax". I looked at their website www.kwikset.com and did not see that term off hand either. Is it brand new?
If it is like previous styles, you use a kwikset cylinder tool to spread the springs that holds the cylinder assembly in the knob. It can be done without the tool but is ususally a little harder.
Kwikset Titans use a special key to remove the cylinder.

Thanks for the response.
The lock I am referring to is the UltraMax. It is featured at http://www.kwikset.com/website/asp/kw_pdp_consumer.asp
It appears to be similar to the TITAN series (Grade 2, similar models).
What is the special key used to remove TITAN cylinders like? Does it go into the keyway or does it go down the center of the hollow locking rod? Do you know of an online source of the key?
