What is the recommended dry time after texture is applied to new dry wall prior to primer , then paint? I am getting many mixed answers on how long you should wait. In the past I proceeded to paint about 24 hours after texture and had no problems. Now - I am being told to wait a week.
input?

Drying times tend to vary depending on temperature and humidity conditions. Surface will need to be thoroughly dry and free of dust before priming. Allow plenty of time between priming and painting.

24 hours minimum drying time is usually stated, but drying times can vary. If in doubt, use a calibrated moisture meter to test for moisture levels greater than 20%.
