I just put a coat of Kilz primer on 2 carefully prepped laminate panelled walls. It's streaky, uneven and shows brush/roller marks. Is this normal?

YES!!!! Primer never looks good. It serves a different purpose. So calm down, don't panic until after you've applied a coat or two of your finish paint - if that looks bad then you can panic.

Thanks, TomBT. I felt the walls this morning and they are nice & smooth. No panic.

If you think primer looks bad on walls, you should see how horrible it looks on old wood trim. No one will get away with calling the primer a flat white. But, like on walls with patches, a good primer does its job.
