I am using plastic molding on my bathroom window since it will be exposed to water in the tub/shower area. I bought this molding in Home Depot it looks like white plastic. I tried to paint the molding yesterday before I nail it in place. The molding has a shiny finish to it. The paint I used is Behr's Ultra pure white in semi-gloss. The paint does stick to the molding but after drying over night it is still wet and I could wipe right off. What needs to be done so I could paint this molding? Do I need to sand the plastic or apply some sort of primer? Any help would be appreciated!!!

Perhaps a latex bonding primer would work.
