Is there any particular type of brick that should be used when building a french country home? We have found a brick by Glen Gerry called Lorraine White, but I am wondering if there are any other options. Have you heard of Acme's French Country brick and where can I find a picture and supplier of it? I am not crazy about a white/white brick because it looks a little cold, so I am looking for some alternatives to the Lorraine WHite.

Hi,

I agree with you, white / white is too cold. But there are alternatives.

To see the Acme products, samples and photos

http://www.acmebrick.com/home-abc.htm

I suggest the Summer Shadow (in the White's page) .

Other option is Belden brick

I suggest the Frosted Whites (in the White's page)

Both manufacturers' pages have lots of samples, colors and shapes.
