Hello everyone. On one of those great decorating shows, there was a mention of a paint called Hammerite Hammered Finish recommended [on this particular show] for painting an old, boring kitchen countertop. First problem -- the paint is apparently manufactured in the UK, and I can only find the aerosol Hammerite products in the States. Has anyone heard of this stuff, and do you know where I can get it in gallon or quart containers (vice aerosol)?

Second issue, what do you think I should prep the countertop with? Of course I'll need to do a very good cleaning, degreasing -- but any primer necessary? I'm concerned it won't stick. Thanks in advance!
