I have a fireplace that is the color of concrete. It is made of(approximately) 12 x 12 blocks, about 2 " thick each. It's UGLY.. Can I paint it, and is there special paint for it ??

Any help will be greatly appreciated... Thanks

I just painted my motherinlaws fireplace bricks. We remodeled her familiy room and the color of the bricks no longer went with the rest of the room. I used 5 cans of Make It Stone in Black Granite. It sprays on and adhere's very well. I then used a small paint brush and very sporatically added a bit of metallic/glitter to the bricks. Make sure you use the polyurethane spray top coat afterwards to seal it. 2 coats should be plenty. It turned out beautiful! Good luck.:)
