Need advise with California Alkyd Oil Primer and XIM Urethane Modified Acrylic (UMA) primer. Rather than apply Alkyd Oil Primer to bare wood surface as intended, the UMA product was applied. How should I correct the error? Should I remove the UMA with paint remover and apply the alkyd oil primer or should I simply apply alkyd oil primer over the UMA followed by a latex top coat?

Hello knussml, don't bother removing the XIM. Do as you say and prime with the oil followed by your other finishes.....Mike
