Hi,
I own a three family home in mass, wich has wooden steps leading up to the front enterance.Last summer,I scraped them, primed them with "kilz" total 2 exterior/interior paint, then top coated them with Behr (home depot) brand floor/porch paint.
in one year the paints wore or came off in spots??
Its not a high traffic area?It does get weather though?
Is Behr brand poor quality?
I personally like Benjamin Moore Brand? Is this a better product?
Last weekend I scraped and wirebrushed again and put on a coat of the "Kilz" primer".now I need to top coat again, what will stand up better?Thanks...

After trying Behr for the first time, it started off well but then I found that it doesn't cover very well. Play it safe and stick with Benjamin Moore which I've always considered a superb product.

I've used Flood's Solid Color Deck and Siding Stain and although it doesn't offer a hi gloss, two coats have held up well. A great benefit is it is contains an oil based primer and latex finish coat.
