Hi... I have a Zenith SE5749W 27" TV/monitor dating from 1992(?). The front control panel flips down and is attached to the tv by a ribbon cable. The panel hinges broke some time ago, and the cable has been damaged, so the control panel no longer works. It must sit just right (I think to allow power to go into something that's in the panel) or I can't use the remote with it, either.
I need to know if there's somewhere I can get a replacement panel so my TV can live again :p
I had a part number for it that a repair shop gave me, but it's long since dissappeared

As a second question: the color on the TV is ... off shall we say. The red and blue seem OK, but anything green leans more toward green-brown. (The green gun is still functioning... but the color with the "video filter" switch turned on is all screwed up, and with it turned off, the green isn't quite up to par) Could this have something to do with factory color settings, or is the TV just gettin' old? I know the factory screen settings got messed up one time while the panel was having a spaz attack... I had to check online on how to adjust the position of the channel and time display, as they had migrated to the middle of the screen :)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Good luck in trying to find any parts for that membrane keypad assembly. The last time I worked on one it was a 1985 model and I had to deal with zenith direct and there computer showed serveral parts as being discontinued.

Zenith are also known for bad picture tubes. Sound like yours is getting weak in color.
