BSR Compact Disc / Cassette Drive
Model# MCD 8050 Purchased: 3/91
Sherwood A/V Stereo Receiver
Model# RV601OR Purchased: 3/91
Problem:
When I first bought the two units, I could set the volume level on the Sherwood receiver, and get the same volume level for both the CD and the radio. Now the CD & tape plays at a lower volume level than the radio at the same setting. Any suggestions on what is wrong and how I can fix this.

Nope, just like you and I it's wear. The OP amps, preamps etc get old, caps get dry, heat, humidity etc. all have an effect on electronics. You could consider running everything thru a mixer board, from there you can control and even enhance input and output levels. I cannot believe the CD player has made it this long! Count your blessings and keep your finger on the volume control. :)
