What is the difference between a slotted and cabinet tip screw driver?

Normal slotted screwdrivers flare out to strengthen the shaft. Cabinet tip screwdrivers leave off the flare. That is, the width of the slotted end is the widest part of the shaft. This is to allow the screwdriver to set screws into pockets, which is common on cabinets.
