Where online can you buy parts and manuals at a reasonable price? I don't mind paying for a convergance board but if i have to. But, i will need wiring diagrams and such. Is there a place that sells parts and stuff cheap? I live in the middle of no where. so it is a bit of a travel anywhere for me. Are there good books on this subject anywhere either?

Sams Photofact for the schematic. According to what TV it is, Tri-Tronics and MCM Electronics are about the most known and reasonable. There is no such thing as a cheap schematic! We paid thousands of dollars a year to maintain schematics for warrenty equipment.

thanks I appreciate it and will check them out. Do you know if they will have the spec on a convergence board for a mitsubishi tv or not. No one seems to have the specs on my tv for sale that i can find. Mitsubishi model# VS-470RS

No right off hand, as I remember Mits is very tight lipped with their schematics. But Sams may have it in there archives...

And Google says... http://www.samswebsite.com/photofacts.html
Advanced search turned up all kinds of goodies...

*Searching their database comes up empty. You will probably have to go thru Mitsu to get it. Try calling Sams, see if maybe it's not listed online yet. I will be highly surprised if Mitsu sell's it to you though. But things may have changed since '99 when I retired from the business...

Why don't you just download the schematics from the websites ??
It's free if you are an authorized service center, even for Mitsubishi (newer models only avalible online)
Most manufacturers except Panasonic and RCA have free schematics.
Hitachi even has a lot of older sets online.

MY bad I see you have retired ...
Since 99 it's all online based, I don't think you can even get paper schamtics for the new sets ..
We just download them and print now :)

I didn't know that! Cool! Where was that when I mentioned it to my reps etc? I would have loved to have had access online! We spent thousands of dollars over the years for the subscriptions! And didn't even get a kiss first! Thanks guy, but of course since I am not authorized anymore everything is free...
