I'm a Do it yourselfer who would like specific details on how to change the oil and filter on a 1990 Yamaha 350 Big Bear 4x4 quad runner. I've just got the skid plate removed (quite a chore) and wonder where the heck the oil drain plug is and where the filter is also. I thought it was just beneath the skid plate where I found a bolt-like circle that absolutely will not turn and appears to be welded on or jammed really tight. Can anyone help? Yamaha sure makes a chore out of changing the oil and filter!

Hello shippy103, don't see many Yamahas in this area but I dug around the net and found that you do have to remove the skid plate to change the oil and filter so all of your time has been well spent. You may try shocking that drain plug by hitting it sharply with a hammer and try to remove it......Mike
