hi
i would like to hook up an on/off switch (i got from radio shack) to the power button of my t.v.
the problem i came across while doing this is that i dont do which wire to connect to because there is a control panel which houses the t.v power button. there are also many other buttons such as channel and volume buttons on this control panel. there are 3 sets of many wires coming out of this control panel.
i simply want my on/off switch from radioshack to be able to turn the t.v on and off
anyone know what to do?

Is the original on /off switching circuit electronic or mechanical?
