Hey guys,
Need your help. I have a Zenith 32" tv. Model # sl3285bg. Its about 8 years old. About two months ago a white horizontal line appeared at the top of the screen. a few days later a couple of thin horizontal would appear at the top of the screen. It seemed once the set was on for about 10 minutes they would go away. Now however, I have about eight horizontal white lines at the top of the screen that takes up about 11/2"
of the screen. they don't go away nowIt seems like the picture rolls over in this 11/2" area. Other than this, the picture is fine!
No onscreen adjustments are availiable. I took the back off and blew it out. I didn't see any adjustments inside either. Could someone point in the right direction and tell me what transitor or cap I should check?(if's its one of these). i have freeze spray also.
Could it be bad solder joints? If so what area of the board should I check? thanks for any info!!

bogart19, Check for any leaking electrolytic capacitors in the vertical circuit and check for any cracked solder joints on the pins of the vertical output i.c..

Fred,
Could you give me any indication of where or by what is the verticle section located in this set? Thank you!
