would this experiment work. i found an old big screen tv possibly doesnt work at all would this work i strip the whole back of its cabinet leaving only the screen and magnifeying lens in place. im in the process of putting a 13 inch portable tv inside the big screen cabinet. the screen from the portable would reflect off the magifying lens onto the screen in front of cabinet. if anybody knows if this can be done please let me know. this would be a new way to recycle those worn out big screen tvs

Dan, You can try enclosing the television in a box along with the lens. In the old days g.e. used a 13", single lens and mirrors. The video circuit flipped scanned for the picture to appear normal on screen. In your case you will possibly have to mount the television upside down.
