Entertainment Center: TVs, Stereos, VCRs and DVDs - jvc tv, nothing but bue screen

i have a 27" jvc (av-27bp5). the tv display is blue. it is acting like it is not getting reception and showing the blue screen. sometimes it works but as soon as i turn the channel it goes back to blue and i can not get the picture back just flickers some times. i know it is getting reception because the picture in picture works fine, with perfect reception, just over a blue screen. i can get the sound to work by disengaging the sound mute. i have opened it up and found nothing unusual. i even tried the standard shaking and hitting. please advise. is there a way to disengage the anti snow function? or does anyone know how to fix it?
