I see toshibas are popular here.
I am a cnc machinist~repaiman by trade and was gifted a Toshiba CF 3054J when my old tv suffered powersupply meltdown.
This new unit was free because it has 2 issues.
(HELP?!)
1, picture is too dark to make out details in shadows even with the brightness cranked up.
2, picture appears to be about 1" above the limit of the screen, only a bummer when you are playing games and can't read your health.
Any thoughts?
I have already ordered the repair manual and schematic.
My local repair house wants 250$ for a look see which exceeds my willingness to pay for a simple trouble shoot.
Is this a bum picture tube or can it be fixed?
Thanks, Bill
