My JVC 27" is developing a problem that when it is first turned on about 4 inches of the top of the screen has white lines that the picture is veiwable through, but is somewhat inverted, like a mirror image from what is displayed just below that. After it warms up a little it only affects about 1 inch with the same problem.
Any clues what is the cause, and how to remedy this?

Mickguyver, Sounds like you have a slight case vertical rollover due to leaky capacitors in the vertical circuit. Find out which ones and replace them.

I also suffer with this problem and would like to see if anyone knows how much this usually costs to repair. I am almost ready to just buy a new tv however I hate to throw this one away just for the top part of the screen inverting.
