Okay, a bit late, the drive is at least 7+ years old. The previous owners had a new one poured before that. My neighbor (a real estate agent) says I should seal it. It is beginning to show wear from salt and cold weather. She says concrete patios and driveways should be clear sealed every so often. Is this true? Will it lengthen the life of the concrete surface? What type of sealer do I use? Do I roller or squeegie this on? Are there any that are eco-friendly and don't have a gazillion health hazards listed on them (as well as known carcinogens). I don't want to drink the stuff after I use it (yes, I'm a tree hugger).

clean it. power wash it, after 7 years there is some oil I'm sure. Oil can seep all the way down. Get a good degreaser ( castrol superclean is good)

Get a sealer it must be clear, most concrete are. Use a 1/2 inch nap roller.

expect some dicoloration after applied, this will disappear though. the fine print will say up to six months though.

its easy.
