I have a 60++ yr old 2 story brick house. There is an inclosed wood framed porch that appears to have been added after the original construction but many years ago as the roof over the porch is incorporated in the that of the main house. The concrete slab where it buts up to the house has sunk 1-2 inches & has cause the slab to crack . I believe part of the problem was a leaky & then improperly installed second roof caused water to run between the bottom of the outside walls of the porch & the slab. When I had the roof replace the water leakage has just about disappeared.
My question is that I've heard there is a process called mud jacking or pumping as I've seen it here referred to. Any advice or do I need to rip out the old slab & start from scratch

I would get an estimate from a company that does mud jacking, and compare that to what it would cost to tear out and rebuild. I've heard mud jacking repairs are not exactly cheap, and even after the repair was made, could you live with the crack(s) in the slab?
