We have a home that was built two years ago. We have filtration stains every where and it is bad.
We live in Daytona Beach Fl and we need to find someone who can test the carpet and to tell us where it is coming from.
Any and all help is needed please.
Thanks,
Ish

The term for this occurence is called "Ghosting"
Do you burn candles in your home? If so, the soot that you see when you blow a candle out, isn't visable to the eye when the flame is burning. That soot will make black lines under closed doors and around the perimeter of the room, next to the baseboards, where there may be a draft.
It can also be caused by the heating system in your home the same way. Olefin carpets seem to attract it more, because of the oily face yarns.

I used to live in Daytona, my mom still does off of Nova rd. anyhow, you could have a sugar stain problem too. If the previous tenants made their stains of a sugar base (ie, soda spills) it will have soaked into the flooriiing and is next to impossible to get rid of. As the humidity rises (and when doesn't it) these stains will leech into your carpet.
Your options are
#1 - yuck, live with it.
#2 - tear out the carpet, do this judiciously as it maybe reuseable.
check your subfloor, if you have concrete, which is most likely in your area, have your flooring professional put a moisture barrier under your carpet. If it is hardwood - - yikes and ouch - -
tear it out. Sugar stains seep far into wood, beyond the depth of most refinishing techniques.
If we are talking subfloor only, as you pull up a corner of the carpet you will know what you have beneath the entire room, if it is plywood sub-floor, take careful note of marking on the subfloor where your carpet stains are. Then just replace those particular sheets of subfloor. Is there an easy fix?... unfortunately, no but good luck and remember, it wasn't your spouse (or kids, or dog) that hit your thumb with the hammer!

No I do not burn candles in my home. I know it is filtration stains and even the forman from the contractor who built my home brought the man they get the carpet from in and he agreed that it is filtration stains.
We are the only owners and as I said the house is only two years old and the problem is getting worse.
Who do we need to contact to check our home to see what is causing this problem?

Have the carpets Acid Washed, by a certified IICRC cleaning specialist.
It isn't the carpet. It isn't the carpet installation. It is from your home. Have the A/C & heating ducts cleaned, and the perimeter of your home sealed.
