I'm new to renovating, so sorry if I'm using the wrong terms here...
I've started removing tiles from a brick kitchen wall before we get a new kitchen installed.
The tiles appear to have been attached to the wall with some kind of white mortar, on top of what looks like cement, on top of the brick.
After removing the bricks, the cement-like base is proud of the wall by about 1/2"
What can I use to take the wall back to the brick, or in some cases the render that's behind the cement?
Is some kind of grinder normally used?
Any suggestions happily received.
