I am installing tile on a level concrete floor. The only portion not level is the area near a floor drain. How do I approach this with my 12x12 tile? Do I level the concrete around the drain or just hope the tile with extra thinset will slope gradually towards the drain? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Since nobody seems to be answering your question I'll put in my .02 worth. When I'm working with larger tile like you have I'll cut them down into 3 or 4" squares so they can make the curve down to the drain. You have to keep in mind that you just can't cut your 12" tile in 3 or 4 even pieces. You have to cut them slightly smaller to alow (SP?) for the grout lines. I hope this helps and makes sense. :)
