Hello, new here but need some help.
I need to replace a vinly window with flanges that has metal siding around it. I dont want to cut the metal siding any wider to put in the new window, so I want to use a window that has no flanges and is attach with screw though the jamb. I'm not worried about the old window, so I thought I would just cut off the flanges and removed old window.
My question, is this my only option, and if I use this box framed window, what is the best way to seal it up from water since it dosnt appear I can get any flashing behind the meal siding?
Thank for any help.........C JOHNSTON
