I just finished drywalling my basement and without even thinking about i used fine drywall screws, which I now realize is recommended for steel studs. I however used wood studs. Is this gonna pose any problems?. I doubt it, but u know what they say, " If your gonna do it, do it right".

You should have no problems. Alot of customers make the mistake of getting these, stores just don't seperate them and make good notices as to what they are, but they will hold fine.
