I need to install a new bath vent in a bathroom without an existing one. The bathroom on the other side of the wall has an existing one. My question is, can I join the two vent hoses together via a Y-duct connector in the attic?
I want to join it at the point right before it exits through the roof. I was hoping to avoid cutting a new hole through the roof. Will this work without causing draft problems?
Thanks!

Should work fine, especially if the vent fans have a check/flapper valve to keep the air going OUT instead of from room to room
