I am installing carpet in a basement playroom. I was not planning on using padding because of cost and I really don't need it for keeping the floor warmer. So would it make sense to just throw a plastic shhet on the concrete under the carpet, or should I just put the carpet down and let things breathe. It would be a berber type carpet.
