Well I'm finally remodeling my bathroom from hell!..my father and brother-in-law are doing it-and God help me on that one..but my question is they asked my what kind of floor do I want..they want to put in some kind of waterproof carpet..YUCK!!no carpet please in the bathroom..The floor now is this old 1960's tile and underneath is the cement slab...what would be something not to expensive..just nice..and very easy for them to install?????any suggestions would be wonderful!!! thanks amy...

My personal favorite is ceramic tile. You will need to remove existing flooring down to the slab, but the cost for the new tile is not excessive and there is a big selection of styles and colors.

Wise decision on the carpeting.

since the bathroom floor is on a slab that's the best type of floor to lay tile. All you need is to add the thinset mortar and the tiles given the floor is level to start off with. Just my .02 worth!!
