was trying to caulk a piece of trim that adjoins the slate tiles on my fireplace and the caulk is silicone based. I thought I was getting it cleaned off after the application but next day it has left a shiny silicone coating where I wiped it off. What would you recommend for removal w/o damaging the tile? The slate is uneven on the surface so it is hard to simply rub off.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Hi
You can buy silicone remover, but I don't know if it will stain the slate or not. Best to test it on a spare peice of slate before you try it.
