I washed my windows, and now there is white, mildly sticky drips running down the windows. I can't get it off! I'm thinking that it may be aluminum siding residue, mixed with windex outdoor cleaner, dried on.
Any ideas?

Best window cleaning solution I have ever used is homemade - take an old windex spray bottle, empty out the windex and fill 2/3 with water. add a couple of capfuls of vineger and a few drops of liquid detergent and mix. Seems to cut most everything.
Based on your description, the residue is probably from chalking paint.
