I am preparing to put down a tile floor on what was a concrete patio. Have replaced the old add-on room and rebuilt the room. The floor slopes and is about 2" lower in one corner than the highest point in the room. Need advice on what is the best way to bring up the floor to level before tiling. Have heard of Level-Quick and mud beds--what works best (without breaking the bank)?

What you want to do is use a deck mud (relatively cheap) to float the floor level. I like to use acrylic admix in it to help it set quicker and more dense. You can usually find "deck mud" or "deck float" at one of the big wharehouse stores, and it is pre-mixed (except for the acrylic), and cheap!
